Pull out Wisdom Teeth, Slice Cutting Cut, and Hang Rubber Bands. Here Comes the Naughty Girl with 300-Day Diary!

Ivy, a 21-year-old girl, a junior college student, kind of smart and naughty. I will chat with you my experiences of pulling out wisdom teeth, slicing and cutting, hanging the rubber bands and other stories related to orthodontics.

The pain then was too much but encouraged and helped me to pass the 300 days of correction.

______

I started the treatment on January 13, 2017. I need to wear 48 sets of braces in total, and I am wearing the 21st set! I am also having a second correction. I had a metal appliance as early as the age of 10, but it was too young at that time. After correction, I freed myself from the restraints and then the problems recurred.

The image on the right side of my mouth shows my problem is that the upper teeth are not aligned but protruding, while the lower teeth are not aligned. A classmate once told me very seriously: Ivy, I think you are pretty good-looking except for your bad teeth. The former part of the sentence is still very pleasing ... but just keep something not so pleasant inside, ok? ? ?

This is the correction effect for now. It can be seen that the lower teeth are basically aligned and the posterior molars of the upper teeth have been retracted. The next step is to wait quietly for the upper teeth to be retracted. Today, I'll share something about pulling wisdom teeth, slicing and cutting and hanging rubber bands. Many of my partners should be very interested.

Pull out wisdom teeth: a sad story of twists and turns

At first, through the doctor's face-to-face examination and the analysis of the contralateral bitmap, I was told that my lower jaw was slightly retracted and my upper teeth were more protruding, so I needed to pull out all wisdom teeth and push back my molars. But I was hesitant to pull out wisdom teeth. Before that, I pulled out three wisdom teeth, all because of the pain caused by impaction. Only the last one is special, without pain, but in a very high position.

The doctor who pulled this wisdom tooth said that the risk of plucking this tooth was particularly high that it could accidentally fall into the sinus. My attending doctor and I reported the risk to the hospital. The doctor patiently took me to the minimally-invasive extraction clinic to ask about it. It was suggested that I should be hospitalized and have it pulled out wholly drugged. If I don't pull this wisdom tooth, then I can't grind the molars well, and I won't be able to improve the protruding problem. So I still decide to pull it out after hesitation.

However, the situation was not as simple as expected. I thought the doctor could fix it soon, but he tried twice to "drill holes" from the tongue side and the lateral side of the teeth, all failed. As the anesthetic gradually failed, the pain became more intense. The doctor kept comforting me that I was fine and insisted on it.

Finally, the dean took me to the operating room for planting teeth. After four hours of painstaking efforts, he finally pulled out the wisdom tooth.

This was just taken after pulling out the teeth, and the face was particularly swollen. I always had to apply ice packs and also went to the hospital to hang anti-inflammatory drugs for three days, but in order to correct it, I believe everything is worth it!

Slice cutting, not so scary

After pulling out the wisdom teeth, I will soon wear the first braces. Before that, the doctor asked me to choose between the two options: bone nailing and slice cutting. After the painful experience of pulling out wisdom teeth, I really don't want to suffer any more. Although I have also heard about the benefits of the nail, I still chose to slice it.

Many of my friends have questions about slice cutting. I want to share my experience here. Some people think that the teeth will become very sensitive after the slice cutting, and they are more likely to have decayed teeth or the teeth will be broken if eating something hard. I don't have any special feeling after the slice cutting. I guess only if the slits are too large and oral hygiene is not maintained properly, can there be dental caries? My slice thickness is in place, and I have been using anti-sensitive toothpaste all the time, so my teeth are not sore.

This was taken on the first day of wearing the braces, and some bleeding gums can be seen in the right back of the lower teeth after the slice cutting. The doctor said this is normal and will not bleed any more soon.

The left side is 2-1 and the right side is 5-1. The change of front teeth is not too big because the molars have been grinded all the time. I told myself to be patient and to wait slowly. But I will still take out the braces to compare the changes of the molars.

This is the 10th picture. Does the front teeth look much more regular? I can already grin naturally.

This is the comparison between the first pair and the 20th pair. Although the first 20 sets are used for grinding, my front teeth are slowly changing!

Aching to wake for hanging the rubber bands, too powerful

I was told to start wearing rubber bands when I went back to the clinic. I was overwhelmed. Because no rubber band was mentioned in the confirmation of the plan, and it seems that all the rubber bands worn by others are for the option of bone nailing, but I didn't choose the plan of nailing. Until the doctor said that only a nail would be stuck on the tooth, not punched in, I finally rest assured.

It wasn't long before the doctor finished it, with a total of four nails for the upper 3rd tooth and the lower 6th tooth. The doctor is very considerate. The nail in the upper tooth may be exposed when laughing, so he chose the same color as the accessory. I didn't expect it to be so thoughtful, and it really conforms to the concept of invisibility. Let me show you:

However, the color of the lower nail is still traditional silver, but the position is very inside, so it will not be noticed at all. The doctor also told me that I must hang up the rubber band properly, which will play a very important role in closing in the upper teeth.

In fact, the first day of wearing rubber bands has various maladaptations. The nails are often scraped to the lips and utterance is difficult, especially when I wake up with ache early the next morning. But I also realized the power of rubber bands! Because changing a new pair of braces doesn't cause more pain than it, does it mean that the braces are helping the teeth move? Thinking of this will make me very happy.

I have also practiced a lot hanging the rubber bands. For the first time, I didn’t even know how to take it off. The doctor told me a trick to hang the back teeth first and then the front teeth. It was really easy to hang them and now I share it to you guys. In addition, remember to change the rubber bands every day. It is best to carry the rubber bands when you go out, just in case.

Brushing your teeth and brushing your braces is everyday

Since wearing the braces, more attention has been paid to oral hygiene care, and since changing more beautiful toothbrush, brushing teeth has also become enjoyable. The wearing time should never be neglected. Wearing more than 20 hours a day. Sometimes when I get up late in the morning and rush to class, I suddenly find that I forgot to bring my braces, and I will still run back to my bedroom to wear them obediently.

It is also because of invisible braces that I pay more attention to the cleaning and care of teeth. I have learned a lot about teeth through the popularization of the knowledge by Angel and Ibesteeth App.

I used "Paulownia Tablets for Artificial Teeth Cleaning" to soak the braces, then brushed them gently with a soft toothbrush. I always use Philips to brush my teeth. When I go out, I use a portable toothbrush. This small toothbrush is easily accessbile at Watsons. The toothbrush head need to be changed in 1-2 months. After all, you will brush the teeth three times a day.

I want to say thank you to invisible braces

Fortunately, both my parents supported my decision to seek a second correction. After all, I am no longer a girl. I care about my appearance very much. As the saying goes, teeth make up for less satisfying appearance. Who doesn't want to be beautiful quickly and quietly!

I think the convenience of return visits is the reason why I choose invisible correction, about once every two or three months, which greatly saves time and makes it easier for me to indulge in learning (believe it or not). After graduation, I intend to go abroad to study. It was during the winter vacation in my junior year that I started the correction. I am worried that in the future return visits will also become a problem. The doctor said that there is no problem in choosing invisible braces and there is no change in accessories in the later period, as long as I wear braces on time.

And do you know how invisible the braces are? There was a female classmate who took classes together with me for a semester and spoke a lot in each class (forget about the teacher here). She didn't know I was wearing braces even after the semester. She even didn’t find my rubber bands, let alone the braces. I suspect this is a fake classmate.

Unconsciously I have worn invisible braces for nearly 300 days! Changes are visible! I think I have become more confident. Although the correction is not over yet, I can smile boldly when taking pictures ~

No matter how clever the makeup technique is, it can't modify the teeth and smile, which is my deepest feeling!
